Jewellery is that item that changes how I feel in my body. The way a ring from someone I love quietly steadies me, or how a certain pair of earrings can pull me out of a slow day and into a more radiant version of myself.
I noticed I reached for the pieces that carried deeper symbolism. A bracelet from a certain season of my life felt like a private reminder that I had survived something important. These pieces were were shifting my mood, regulating my emotions, holding my memories.
That’s when I understood that jewellery, for me, is a language and a tool. Each piece is a tiny ritual: you touch it, fasten it, feel its weight, and something inside you rearranges. It becomes a personal symbolic companion that carries stories, promises and versions of you that you’re still growing into.
Sanative Treasures was born from that understanding. I wanted to create living objects that could travel with people through their days, their transitions, their soft moments and their evolution. I wanted to create jewellery you reach for when you want to change the vibe of your whole day, even if you’re only moving from your bedroom to your desk.
African cosmology gave me the framework for this instinct. Across the continent, adornment has always carried story, status, spirit and protection. Metal and stone used as markers of identity, lineage and belief, not just style. I began weaving those symbols and stories into contemporary pieces so that every design could function like a small altar: something you wear, touch, and return to whenever you need to remember who you are.
This is where we started: with the simple act of putting something on and feeling different. More yourself, more connected, more charged, and the decision to build a whole universe of treasures around that magic.
